The time is almost here. It is time to get the nest tidy for the little one. There are so many things that you need to do to prepare for the little one's homecoming. Remember to have all of these things handy before it is time to go to the hospital.

Your baby's skin is so sensitive so this is very important.
Depending on the time of the year, there are certain types of clothing that you will need. Onesies are definitely something that you will want to have plenty of. The are used as an undergarment.
Socks are important as well. Especially for those winter months. Make sure that you purchase small socks. Then of course you may or may not want shoes. Some think they are cute, however not necessary for the summer. Just a thin pair of socks will definitely work for the baby in the summer.
Clothing is important and it is highly recommended that you use a detergent that is mild and chemical free. Recommended is Dreft and you can purchase that at a department store. As well as a chemical free fabric softner sheet.
There are all sorts of different pieces of furniture. Depending on the size of your nursery, you will want to buy certain types of furniture. You will definitely need a baby bed with sheets and a bumper guard to go around the inside of it. A lot of times these are bought as a set at your local department store. Some prefer a basinette for the first couple months.
You may also want to purchase a changing table as well. They come in many forms. Sometimes they are wooden and sometimes they are plastic. It all depends on your taste and of course your budget as well.
There are so many bottles to chose from now and days. It is best that you choose the type that doesn't hold in a lot of air. There are disposable kinds as well. You will need a bottle cleaner and new born bottle nipples as well (they have a small hole).
Bathing toiletries are essential as well. You will want to chose something that is natural. Regular baby soap is really not that good for the baby. It contains the chemical fermeldahyde, yet is covered up by another term. You will want to by soft towels and wash clothes for bathing.
These are the essentials for your baby and it is definitely a good idea to make sure that you have all of the appropriate things that your baby needs, before the baby gets here. Make sure that you prepare the bag that you are wanting to take to the hospital ahead of time as well. Bring along the baby's first set of clothes, diapers and if there are certain bottles you want to use.
